2019年11月6日, 斯洛伐克共和国副总理理查德•莱希应邀来华访问。11月7日, 中外新闻社总裁韦燕采访时向理查德•莱希赠送《习近平谈治国理政》英文版一书。理查德•莱希阁下非常高兴, 他说, 了解习主席的治国理政方略, 可以进一步加深对中国的了解, 也是我们了解中国的一个窗口。
On November 6, 2019, Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Mr. Richard Rasi was invited to visit China. On November 7, President of Home and Abroad News Press Mrs. Wei Yan presented the English version of “Xi Jinping on Governance of the Country” to Mr. Richard Rasi during an interview. He was very happy and said that understanding President Xi's strategy of governance can further deepen our understanding of China, and it is also a window for us to learn more about China.

On May 22, 2025, President Wei Yan met again with Richard Rasi, who became the Chairman of the Slovak National Council in March this year and was invited to attend the 4th China-CEE Expo and International Consumer Goods Fair in Ningbo. This time, President Wei Yan presented a copy of Home and Abroad News magazine which featured Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico and President Xi Jinping during his state visit to China. Mr. Richard Rasi expressed his gratitude and welcomed Mr. Wei Yan to Slovakia.
斯洛伐克是最早承认并同新中国建交的国家之一, 双方友谊源远流长。莱希议长表示, 这次特别自豪斯洛伐克能作为主宾国参加第四届中国—中东欧国家博览会暨国际消费品博览会展会。衷心感谢中国合作伙伴和主办方的邀请, 这不仅是信任的象征, 更是友谊的体现。莱希议长表示：通过这次博览会, 两国关系将迈上新的台阶, 为双方带来更多互利共赢的机会。
Slovakia was one of the first countries to recognize and establish diplomatic relations with New China, and the friendship between the two sides has a long history. Chairman Richard Rasi said that Slovakia is particularly proud to participate in the 4th China - Central and Eastern European Countries Fair and International Consumer Goods Fair as the Guest of Honor. He thanked the Chinese partners and organizers for the invitation, which is not only a symbol of trust, but also a sign of friendship. He said that through this fair, the relations between the two countries will be taken to a new level, which will bring more opportunities for mutual benefit and win-win deals for both sides.
莱希指出, 近一年半时间内斯洛伐克总理以及10位斯洛伐克部长级官员访问了中国。中国还对斯洛伐克施行了30天免签政策, 双边关系取得了良好发展, 且处于历史最好时期。在美国肆意对世界其他国家征收额外关税的背景下, 欧洲国家需要重新审视, 寻找像中国这样可靠的合作伙伴。
Chairman Richard Rasi noted that in the last one and a half years, Slovakia's prime minister and 10 Slovak ministerial officials have visited China. China has also granted Slovakia a 30-day visa waiver, and bilateral relations have developed well and are at an all-time high. Against the backdrop of additional tariffs imposed by the United States on the rest of the world, European countries need to take a fresh look and find a reliable partner like China.
莱希指出, 在双边合作方面, 斯洛伐克主要关注汽车、可再生能源、高校间交流等领域。莱希说, 斯方坚定奉行一个中国政策, 愿加强同中方在经贸、文化等各领域合作。斯国民议会愿同中国全国人大深化交流, 推动斯中战略伙伴关系发展到更高水平。
Chairman Richard Rasi also mentioned that in terms of bilateral cooperation, Slovakia mainly focuses on automobiles, renewable energy, exchanges between universities and colleges and so on. He said that Slovakia firmly adheres to the One-China policy and is willing to strengthen cooperation with China in various fields such as economy, trade and culture. The Slovak National Council is willing to deepen exchanges with the National People's Congress of China and promote the strategic partnership between Slovakia and China to a higher level.
