On September 1, 2026, the China-Ghana Economic and Trade Procurement Exchange Conference, initiated by the Home and Abroad News Press Ambassadors Club and organized by Zhonghui Investment (Ghana) Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou Zhongjialian International Holding Co., Ltd., with support from Guangdong Jilian Future Technology Co., Ltd. and Chuangtianxia International Holding Group Co., Ltd., was held in Foshan. His Excellency Mr. Kojo Bonsu, Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to China, attended the event with a 40-member delegation of Ghanaian business representatives and a 120-member delegation of key enterprises from China’s Greater Bay Area. Under the theme “Two-Way Exchange, Joint Brand Building, and Digital Empowerment”, President Wei Yan of Home and Abroad News Press, delivered a keynote speech titled “Opening a New Chapter in Deepening Practical Cooperation Between China and Ghana.” Ambassador Kojo Bonsu highlighted the Ghanaian government’s commitment to creating an open and inclusive market environment.

Wei Yan pointed out that in recent years, Home and Abroad News Press has consistently upheld the principles of the United Nations Charter, deepening its engagement in the fields of public diplomacy, media diplomacy, and pragmatic economic and trade diplomacy, and is committed to building a high-level exchange platform for countries around the world to foster political mutual trust, cultural exchange, economic and trade connectivity, and procurement collaboration. Since its establishment, Home and Abroad News Press Ambassadors Club has been grounded in the broader context of China’s opening-up policy, focusing on international procurement matching, cross-border trade flows, complementary industrial resources, and two-way market empowerment. It has now brought together 102 ambassadors from various countries to establish a high-level international cooperation network, becoming an important and authoritative platform for linking China with the world, bridging transnational supply and demand, and facilitating the implementation of commercial and procurement projects.

Ambassador Kojo Bonsu also noted that it was an honor to join everyone at this important exchange event. Ghana has introduced a series of incentive policies, including tax breaks, in key sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture, new energy, electric vehicles, manufacturing and assembly, and food processing, and cordially invites Chinese entrepreneurs to invest and establish businesses in the country. The conference also featured the “China-Ghana Economic and Trade Roundtable Forum” which was moderated by Mr. Cao Chuang, the Chairman of Chuangtianxia International Co. Ltd. The panelists included: Ms. Wei Yan, Deputy Director-General of the United Nations International Collaboration and Coordination Agency and Minister of Information and Press as well as President of Home and Abroad News Press, His Excellency Mr. Kojo Bonsu, Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to China, and Mr. Sidney Ives Ellis, Consul General of Ghana in Guangzhou. With “Social Media-Driven New Retail in Import and Export Business” as its core theme, the forum featured discussions on how social media channels can empower bilateral trade, facilitate global brand promotion, enable digital supply chain matching, and drive innovation in cross-border new retail models, with the aim of jointly exploring new pathways for deepening cooperation between China and Ghana.

During the interactive discussion session, Mr. Xiao Guangxin, CEO of Guangdong Jilian Future Technology Co., Ltd.; Mr. Jiang Jiahua, CEO of Hong Kong Dongji Investment Co., Ltd. and CEO of Zhonghui Investment (Ghana) Co., Ltd., Mr. Li Xingfu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Guangzhou Zhongjialian Holdings and Zhonghui Investment (Ghana) Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Wang Yong, Foshan City Investment Promotion Ambassador and General Manager of Guangzhou Zhongjialian Holdings and Zhonghui Investment (Ghana) Co., Ltd., among others, delivered remarks on issues of concern regarding China-Ghana cooperation. Mr. Cao Chuang, CEO of Chuangtianxia International Co. Ltd. caught the attention of Ambassador Kojo Bonsu, who specifically proposed in-depth exchanges to build a strong foundation for future China-Ghana cooperation.

The successful hosting of this exchange event further solidified the foundation for China-Ghana economic and trade cooperation and served as a concrete action to implement the “Belt and Road” Initiative and deepen practical cooperation between China and Africa. In the future, with the in-depth integration of resources from multiple parties, more Chinese enterprises will enter Ghana and establish a strong presence in West Africa. While expanding their own development opportunities, they will contribute to building a closer China-Africa community with a shared future and write a new chapter in win-win development.
