According to Mr. Valery Fedorov, an expert in Russian Public Opinion Research Centre, in several Russian surveys in recent years, majority people believe that China is a friendly country to Russia, and the main reason for this result is that China and Russia have been continuously strengthened their close political, economic, and cultural exchanges in the past decades. “The Year of Russia”, “The Year of China” and other bilateral activities allowed many Russians understand more about China. The Russian ambassador to China, His Excellency Andrey Denisov welcomed the junior journalists to the Russian embassy in China. A junior journalist asked: “China and Russia are bordering with each other, and both countries are making extensive cooperation to maintain regional and global peace. As junior journalists, we would like to contribute our efforts to promote exchanges between the two countries. How will we collaborative wisdom and efforts to promote communication and cooperation between China and Russia?”
新闻官李善德回答：这个问题很好。这确实是俄罗斯驻华大使馆的重要任务和使命。实现这一目标，我们大使馆做了很多的努力。比如在去年7月，习近平主席对俄罗斯进行国事访问，去年9月普京总统去厦门参加金砖五国峰会。今年中国将举办上海合作组织峰会，俄罗斯国家领导人也会出席。在国际舞台上，我们两国有非常积极地合作协调。在去年结束的媒体交流年，中俄媒体交流年对于中俄关系具有非常积极的、重要的作用。俄中两国政府已经为青少年交流搭建了平台，希望两国的青少年积极把友谊保持下去。
The press officer answered: This is a great question. In fact, this is an important task and mission for the Russian Embassy in China. To achieve this goal, our embassy has made a lot of efforts. For example, in July last year, President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Russia. In September last year, President Putin came to Xiamen to attend the BRICS Summit. This year, China will host the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit. Russian leaders will also attend this event. On the international stage, our two countries have cooperated and coordinated very actively. Last year was the “Year of Media Exchange” between China and Russia, which plays a very positive and important role in China-Russia relations. The Russian and Chinese governments have set up a platform for youth exchanges and hope that teenagers from both countries will actively maintain this priceless friendship.

A junior journalist asked: Russia is the country where citizens are mostly educated, and more than half of the population attended higher education. Russian universities educate many experts and scholars in different fields, such as technology, literature and humanities with consistently topped the international rankings. Every year, students from more than 170 countries study in Russia. This is a very attractive country for me to study abroad in the future. What is the most advantageous major in Russian universities? 新闻官回答: 谢谢你的提问。确实俄罗斯大学在很多领域都能培养专业人才，比如在文史、数学、医学等，不同的领域我们都有非常高水平的专家。现在俄罗斯的学校也很多，包括在莫斯科、圣彼得堡等主要城市以及俄罗斯联邦的地区都有一流的学校，现在有大概3万中国的学生在俄罗斯留学，我们两个国家的领导人互派学生，希望到2020年人数提高到10万人左右，我觉得除了高等教育以外，还可以去俄罗斯旅游，了解俄罗斯的历史、文化及各种背景知识。

Hopefully by 2020, the number of students will increase to around 100,000. A junior journalist asked a question to the Press Counsellor: “We know that Russia is located cross two continents, Asia and Europe, Lake Baikal, Kizhi Island, St. Petersburg, the great Russian poets and many important historical events during the empire times as well as the Moscow monuments and Statues... All of those are the national pride of Russia, when is the best time to visit Russia? Thank you!”
新闻处处长拉宾博士谈到，俄罗斯是一个面积很大的国家，任何的天气都能遇到好风景，都适合去旅游、去观光。当然现在大部分人还是选择去莫斯科和圣彼得堡旅游，十.一大假期间俄罗斯就是最受中国公民欢迎的旅游地之一，莫斯科在下雪，到处都有非常美的雪景。对于俄罗斯的文化有很深刻影响的一是宗教；二是20世纪的战争；他们推动俄罗斯文化进入了快速发展的阶段。很多纪念碑、博物馆、相关电影都有记载。

Of course, most people still choose to travel to Moscow and St. Petersburg. During the National Day holiday period, Russia is one of the most popular tourist destinations for Chinese citizens. Moscow is snowing right now, and there are very beautiful snow scenes. The most profound influence on Russian culture is religion. The second is the wars in the 20th century; they have promoted the rapid development of Russian culture. Many monuments, museums, and related movies were recorded.
