After the national anthems, the hostplayed a video message from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the 100th anniversary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Turkiye. President Erdoğan said: “On the occasion of the National Day on October 29, I expressed my congratulations to every Turkish citizen living in the country and around the world.” He said that today, we are happy and certainly proud to mark the first anniversary of the Turkish Republic's entry into the new century. I remember with gratitude Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkiye, and other Founding Fathers, the country carries our thousands of years of national heritage.

President Erdoğan pointed out that, as a nation, we have a long national heritage of more than 2,200 years, which is reflected in the 16 stars on our presidential seal. Together with our compatriots and friends, we aim to utilize, develop and strengthen this heritage and to make the greatest contribution to the common heritage of humankind. In order to ensure peace, tranquility, security and justice within our own borders, in the region and in the world, we will embrace even more strongly this ancient historical and civilizational value of our nation.
