On March 13, at the invitation of the Iranian Embassy in China, President Wei Yan of Home and Abroad News Press, Executive Director Liu Dengchen, Executive Deputy Editor-in-Chief Hu Shumeng, and Vice President Chen Xi attended the World Quds Day event hosted by the Iranian Embassy in China. Iranian Ambassador to China H.E. Mr. Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli and experts and scholars attended the event and delivered speeches. The event was aimed at expressing solidarity with Palestine and protesting against the Israeli Zionist regime.
今年的古都斯日活动正值美国和以色列犹太复国主义政权对伊朗发动侵略袭击之时, 前任伊朗伊斯兰前革命领袖大阿亚图拉哈梅内伊遇袭殉难, 伊朗南部霍尔木兹甘省的米纳卜小学惨遭袭击导致171名幼童殉难, 还有德黑兰甘地医院遇袭导致多人殉难受伤, 侵略者无耻、残暴的行径暴露无遗, 深深刺痛了伊朗人民的心, 伊朗武装力量奋起抵抗, 誓死保卫家园, 为殉难者复仇, 给予侵略者最痛的打击。为此, 活动展出的图片不仅展示了巴勒斯坦加沙地区遭受犹太复国主义政权的残暴行径, 也展示了伊朗遭受美以侵略毫无人性的真实图片。同时, 受邀出席此次活动的友人们仍然可以吊唁殉难的领袖伊玛目哈梅内伊。
This year’s Quds Day commemorations coincided with aggressive attacks launched against Iran by the United States and the Zionist regime of Israel. The former Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, was assassinated, and Minab Elementary School in Hormozgan Province, southern Iran, was brutally attacked, resulting in the martyrdom of 171 young children. Additionally, an attack on Tehran’s Gandhi Hospital resulted in numerous casualties and injuries. The aggressors’ shameless and brutal actions have been laid bare, deeply wounding the hearts of the Iranian people. The Iranian armed forces have risen to resist, vowing to defend their homeland to the death, avenge the victims, and deal the aggressors the most crushing blow. To this end, the photographs on display at this event not only reveal the brutal atrocities committed by the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, but also present the true, inhumane reality of Iran’s suffering under U.S.-Israeli aggression. At the same time, friends invited to attend this event may still pay their respects to the martyred leader, Imam Khomeini.

The event began with remarks by Mr. Nemat Iranzadeh, the Cultural Counselor at the Iranian Embassy in China, who welcomed all the invited guests and expressed gratitude for their concern regarding the situation in Iran. He expressed confidence that, with the support and well-wishes of so many friends, the Iranian armed forces would surely drive out the aggressors. Following this, Professor Wang Zezhuang from Beijing Language and Culture University and Professor Wang Hao from the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute were invited to speak. Director Wu Fugui of the China-Arab International Exchange Center, and Ambassador Fazli of the Iranian Embassy in China to deliver speeches in solidarity with Palestine. They expressed the hope that the Palestinian people would soon be freed from the long-standing hegemonic actions and terrorist attacks of the Israeli Zionist regime, and that, with humanitarian aid from the international community, they would soon achieve peace, establish an independent state, and emerge from their suffering.

The last Friday of Ramadan has been designated as “World Quds Day.” The name was proposed and established by Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in August 1979, more than six months after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran. The purpose is to remind people of the historic oppression inflicted by Western nations, which claim to uphold humanitarian values, upon the oppressed people of occupied Palestine. By establishing “World Quds Day,” Khomeini called on Muslims worldwide to unite, cut off the black hand of the Israeli aggressors, and support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
