Romanian Ambassador to China H.E. Mr. Doru Romulus Costea gave an opening speech at the National Day reception. He reviewed Chinese Premier Li Keqiang's recent visit to Romania, which further enhanced mutual political trust and consolidated the traditional friendship as well as the pragmatic cooperation between the two countries. This was a significant milestone in the bilateral relationship between China and Romania.

The ambassador showed his great interest about China, who has five thousand-year-old civilization history and Chinese people's wisdom and spirit. "When I was dealing with Chinese friends, I found that the prominent characteristics of Chinese people are hard-working, dedication and warm hospitality. I'm impressed with the Chinese people's friendship and tolerance. I would like to continuously promote a comprehensive friendly cooperative partnership between the two countries."

The Assistant to Chinese Foreign Minister Mr. Zheng Zeguang congratulated to Romania's National Day and the remarkable achievements that Romanian people have made in recent years. He spoke highly of the bilateral relations and said that friendship is deeply rooted in the hearts of people in two countries. China attaches great importance to this everlasting friendship and tries to develop more areas of cooperative partnerships with Romania.
中国与罗马尼亚自1949年10月5日建交以来，一直保持着友好合作关系。罗马尼亚历届政府均奉行对华友好政策，坚持一个中国的原则立场。1971年10月，在第26届联合国大会上，罗马尼亚作为联合提案国，投票赞成关于恢复中华人民共和国在联合国的一切合法权利的决议。两国高层交往频繁，相互了解与信任不断增强，在联合国及其它国际组织中合作良好，各领域的交流与合作富有成果。双方友好城市达27对。
China and Romania have maintained friendly relations since establishing the diplomatic ties on October 5th, 1949. Romanian governments have pursued a friendly policy towards China with adherence to the One-China policy. In October 1971, Romania supported to restore all the legal rights of the People's Republic of China in the UN resolution on the 26th Session of the UN General Assembly.Through frequent high-level exchanges between the two countries, the mutual understanding and trust has been strengthened. The two countries maintained good cooperation with other countries and international organizations within the UN frameworks and achieved great results in various sectors. Currently there are 27 pairs of friendship cities in these two countries.
