Xi said China and the UK's economies are perfectly complementary to each other with a good foundation for cooperation and future prospects. Xi also pointed out that the process of world economic recovery is at an important stage now and the international community is undergoing profound changes. As a result, the UK and China should strengthen communication and cooperation in international affairs, advocating the new concept of "Peace, Development, and Cooperation" and create more win-win situations in international relations when facing the global challenges.
卡梅伦则表示，中国的发展是二十一世纪具有划时代意义的事件，不仅造福中国人民，对世界也是重大机遇。英方高度重视中国的成功及英中合作，愿同中方保持高层交往，在相互尊重基础上加强对话，加深了解。中国扩大内需，对英国是巨大商机。英方欢迎中国投资英国基础设施建设、核电等领域。英方愿同中方加强在重大国际和地区问题上的沟通和协调，共同维护世界和平与安全，促进全球经济稳定复苏和可持续发展。
