On December 28, 2021, the 20th Anniversary Ceremony of Home and Abroad News Press was held in Beijing. Diplomatic envoys from 32 countries and Chinese leaders attended the ceremony.

In today’s multicultural global society, Home and Abroad News Press has been designated as the mainstream media by three United Nation associated organizations. Based on the great influence of our strong brand recognition, we introduced “News Person of the Year” annual awards to recognize excellent persons who made remarkable contributions to the international society and promoting peace and harmony in the global community for many years. This year, the Ambassador of Pakistan to China H.E. Mr. Moin UI Haque, the Ambassador of Thailand to China H.E. Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot, the Ambassador of Bangladesh to China H.E. Mr. Mahbub Uz Zaman, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to China H.E. Mr. Zeynalli Akram, the Ambassador of Jamaica to China, H.E. Mr. Antonia Hugh, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to China H.E. Dr. Palitha Kohona, the Ambassador of Egypt to China H.E. Mr. Mohamed Elbadri, the Ambassador of UAE to China H.E. Mr. Ali Al Dhaheri, the Ambassador of Tanzania to China H.E. Mr. Mbelwa Kairuki received the 2021 “Home and Abroad News Press News Person of the Year” award.
泰国驻华大使阿塔育•习萨目阁下由于外交事务在身，无法到现场接受奖项，2022年1月6日下午，联合国国际合作协调局副局长兼新闻部部长、中外新闻社总裁韦燕携中共中央宣传部新闻出版局原副局长张凡，外交部原副部长助理马德强等前往泰国驻华大使馆向阿塔育•习萨目阁下颁发“2021《中外新闻》时代新闻人物”奖杯和证书。
Because of his busy work schedules, the Thai Ambassador to China H.E. Mr. Arthayudh Srisamoot was unable to attend the award ceremony and receive the trophy in person. On the afternoon of January 6, 2022, the Deputy Director of United Nation International Cooperation and Coordination, the President of Home and Abroad News Press Mrs. Wei Yan, the Former Deputy Secretary of Publication Bureau of the CPC Central Committee Mr. Zhang Fan, the Former Assistant to the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ma Deqiang and other senior executives went to the Thailand embassy in China to present the trophy and certificate to the Ambassador.
颁奖仪式上，双方就深化经贸、文旅等领域合作进行深入交流，中央宣传部新闻出版局原副局长张凡还向阿塔育•习萨目大使介绍了2021年12月28日颁奖典礼的盛况，中外新闻社韦燕总裁宣读“2021《中外新闻》时代新闻人物”--泰国驻华大使阿塔育•习萨目阁下入选理由，中央宣传部新闻出版局原副局长张凡，外交部原副部长助理马德强向阿塔育•习萨目阁下颁发奖杯和证书。
At the meeting, both sides had in-depth exchanges on deepening cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, culture and tourism. Mr. Zhang Fan shared the award ceremony details with Ambassador Arthayudh Srisamoot and mentioned his winning reasons for this special honorable award. Then, Mr. Zhang Fan and Mr. Ma Deqiang presented the award trophy and certificate to the Ambassador.
入选理由：泰国驻华大使曾任泰国驻奥地利大使、泰国驻维也纳联合国和其他国际组织代表等职。2019年11月22日阿塔育•习萨目在人民大会堂向中国国家主席习近平递交国书，成为泰国驻华大使,任职以来,他为推动东盟和中国的互利共赢发挥重要作用。“中泰一家亲，砥砺共前行”。2021年恰逢中国—东盟建立对话关系30周年，阿塔育•习萨目以此为契机，打出“组合拳”，推出一揽子计划刺激本地旅游经济的复苏与发展。其次，利用大数据与线上社交媒体进行广泛宣传泰中友好关系，他相信：泰国旅游行业良性发展也将带动更多泰国人感受中国之美。
Winning Reasons: Ambassador Srisamoot has served as the Thai ambassador to Austria, the United Nations in Vienna and other international organizations. He became Ambassador of Thailand to China in 2019. Since taking the office, he has played an important role in promoting mutual benefit and win-win partnership between ASEAN and China. "China and Thailand are one family." It is the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the China-ASEAN dialogue relationship in 2021. Ambassador Srisamoot took this opportunity to introduce many plans to stimulate the recovery and development of the local tourism economy. Secondly, he is using big data and online social media to widely promote the friendly relations between Thailand and China, he believes that the sound development of Thailand's tourism industry will also drive more Thais to experience the beauty of China.
接过奖杯和证书，阿塔育•习萨目大使表示，感谢中国的主流媒体--中外新闻社对他工作的认可。他说，这个奖对于我来说责任更大，现泰中合作潜力巨大、前景广阔，我要推动双方在人文交流和产业对接，在能源、电力、旅游等更多领域开展务实合作、结出丰硕成果、实现共赢发展。我会为之继续努力。
After receiving the trophy and certificate, Ambassador Arthayudh Srisamoot expressed his gratitude to China's mainstream media – Home and Abroad News Press for recognizing his work. He said that this award is a greater responsibility for me. Now Thailand and China have great potentials and broad prospects for cooperation. I will continue to promote the bilateral exchanges in energy, hydro power, tourism and education sectors for achieving fruitful results and win-win deals. I will always keep working hard for it.
