Indonesia is one of the Southeast Asian countries. As the world's largest islands country, it has tens of thousands of islands, across Asia and Oceania, known as “The Thousand Island Country”. At 10am on August 6th, “Witness Friendship” Home & Abroad News Press - 2015 Summer Junior Journalist Delegation to the Foreign Embassies in China were invited to interview to Indonesia embassy in China. The Cultural Counselor Santo Darmosumarto held a friendly talk with junior journalists.

小记者问孙浩参赞：“你好！我们小记者有机会采访您很高兴。中国和印尼建交65年来，睦邻友好。中国国务院刘延东副总理在印尼大学演讲时提出，要把中印青年的交流打造成两国人文交流的旗舰项目。请问：你如何理解这句话的涵义？”
A junior journalist asked Mr. Darmosumarto: “Good morning, thank you very much for accepting our interview! China and Indonesia established the diplomatic relations 65 years ago; the neighboring relationship has been friendly and positive. Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yandong made a speech at the University of Indonesia to address the youth and cultural exchange programs as the key communication channel between China and Indonesia. In your opinions, how will this project impact the two countries’ bilateral relationship?”

孙浩参赞说，两国青年人口相加有4亿多，两国青年的成长与交流，代表着两国关系乃至亚太地区的未来和希望。中国领导人演讲内容要把中印青年的交流打造成两国人文交流的旗舰项目，就是希望两国青年把握住难得的历史机遇，加强交流、互学互鉴、通力合作，为中印尼全面战略伙伴关系发展贡献力量。
Counselor Darmosumarto said that the population of young people in the two countries is more than 400 million. The growth and exchange of the youth in both countries will bring bright future for the two countries as well as the Asia-Pacific region. Chinese leaders also stressed that the youth exchange between China and Indonesia can become the flagship project for the two countries. This strategy is to seize the rare historical opportunity, strengthen exchanges, enhance mutual learning with each other, and work together to make contributions to develop comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Indonesia.

“我们从上海世博会了解到：印尼是一个美丽的旅游国家，著名的巴厘岛是集美景和艺术于一身的岛屿，一直以来就是西方游客的度假和旅游胜地。你认为，印尼能吸引世界旅游者的目光还有哪些？”
“We visited the Indonesian Pavilion in the Shanghai Expo and learnt about Indonesia’s beautiful natural landscapes and its famous Bali Island. For many years, Balia Island has been a popular tourism spot for Western visitors. In your opinions, what are the special tourism value attracting the visitors to Indonesia around the world?”

参赞说，中国已成为印尼旅游业的重要客源国。印尼是世界上岛屿最多的国家，被誉为“千岛之国”。大小的岛屿灿若星辰，犹如一串明珠散落在东南亚洋面上。岛上的旅游资源颇为丰富，秀丽的热带风光令人难忘。
Mr. Counsellor said, China has become one of the important source countries to Indonesian tourism industry. Indonesia is a country with the most islands in the world, known as “The Thousand Island Country”. The islands are just like the stars, shining on the Southeast Asian oceans. The tourism resources on those islands are really diversified, beautiful tropical scenery always give people unforgettable experience.

采访结束，小记者们给印尼外交官们赠送了自己准备的小礼物。
At the end of the interview, the junior journalists presented the gifts to Indonesian diplomats and embassy envoys.
