China and Hungary established diplomatic relations on October 6th, 1949. With the direct care and guidance from the leaders of the two countries, China and Hungary have been continuously developed the great bilateral relationships through enhanced political trust and increasing economic cooperation in the past 63 years. Reporters of Home and Abroad News Press had an exclusive interview with H.E. Mr. Kusai Sandor, the Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary to China on Apr 11th.

Good morning, Mr. Ambassador! As the ambassador in China, you have made great contributions to develop and maintain the bilateral relations between China and Hungary, please share with us your views on the current relationships between China and Hungary.
库绍伊•山多尔大使：“非常感谢你们到大使馆采访。我高兴看到《中外新闻》杂志刊发的关于匈牙利的有关报道真实、全面，感谢中外新闻社为匈中两国间的关系作出的出色的工作。中国和匈牙利在63年前就建立了友好的外交关系，63年来，中国和匈牙利两国间的关系发展的非常好。包括两国间的政治交流和经贸交流。匈牙利的首相在过去的2年中曾两次访问中国。去年，温家宝总理访问了匈牙利。这种政治上的相互信任对两国关系的发展起到了非常大的作用。
Ambassador Kusai Sandor said: “Thank you very much for coming to the embassy for this special interview with me. I'm glad to read the truthful and comprehensive reports about Hungary in Home and Abroad News Press magazine. Thanks to Home and Abroad News Press’ excellent work for promoting the bilateral relations between China and Hungary. China and Hungary have maintained friendly diplomatic relations for the past 63 years. The relationship development between China and Hungary has been very good in many areas, including political and economic and trade exchanges. Prime Minister of Hungary visited China twice in the past two years, and Premier Wen Jiabao visited Hungary in the last year. The political mutual trust has played an important role in enhancing the bilateral relations.
在回答中国和匈牙利的科技合作主要涉及哪些领域时，库绍伊•山多尔大使谈到，中匈两国间成立了科技合作联合委员会，委员会的目的就是促进双方的科技交流。去年，委员会作出决定，将支持29个项目，来自农业、制药、信息等领域。匈牙利的地理位置特殊，地处中欧的中心，就像一个大门，向中国敞开，期待与中国在各个领域的交流与合作。
When talking about the main areas where China and Hungary cooperate in, the ambassador said that the two countries have set up a Science and Technology Cooperation Joint Committee to promote the scientific and technological exchanges between the two countries. Last year, the Committee made a decision to support 29 projects in various fields such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, information and other areas. Hungarian special geographical position is in Central Europe that opens a door for China to explore the huge European markets. Hungary looks forward to exchange and cooperate with China in more fields in the future.
“匈牙利地处欧洲中部，东西方文明在此交融。在这片神奇的土地上，诞生了14位诺贝尔奖获得者，众多世界级著名人物也为世人们所熟知。请大使先生谈谈匈牙利的文化。”
“Hungary is located in the centre of Europe and well mixed the Eastern and Western cultures. There were 14 Nobel Prize winners and many well-known celebrities from this country. Please introduce a little bit about the Hungarian culture.” We asked.
“匈牙利获得诺贝尔奖的人数是一个世界纪录。诞生了14位诺贝尔奖的获得者，在这些背后，有一个非常深厚的文化原因在里面。匈牙利的教育系统新的教育模式在对世界开放的。好的大学就是造就更多的科学家，匈牙利的文化是与邻国和其他国家的交流形成的，是具有创新的文化。这种深层的文化交流是造就匈牙利优秀文化的原因，这也是可以诞生14位诺贝尔奖的获得者的原因。”
“The number of Hungarian Nobel Prize winners is a world record. There were 14 Nobel Prize winners .This relates to a deep cultural reason. The new education system in Hungary is open to the world. Good universities will surely develop and maintain more great scientists; Hungarian culture is innovative and formed by communicating with neighboring countries. The deep cultural exchange shaped the unique Hungarian culture, and this is the reason why it could have 14 Nobel Prize winners.”
库绍伊•山多尔大使在采访中表示，希望在他的任期内能邀请中外新闻社记者前往匈牙利实地采访，让更多的中国人乃至世界各国朋友了解匈牙利，匈牙利是一个风光美丽、科技发达、热爱和平和友好的国家。
Ambassador Kusai Sandor expressed that he hoped to invite Home and Abroad News Press journalists to Hungary during his tenure so that more Chinese people and people around the world can know more about Hungary because the country has beautiful sceneries, developed science and technology as well as a peace-loving and friendly environment.
