这里是高标准的“城市会客厅”。2017年9月，作为金砖国家中俄两国领导人双边会晤之地，“一城春色半城花，万顷波涛拥海来”，筼筜湖由此名扬世界。中外新闻社大使俱乐部--各国使节感知到厦门城市生态建设和历史文脉传承与保护。
It is a high-standard "City Meeting Room". In September 2017, as a place for the bilateral meeting between the leaders of China and Russia during the BRICS Summit, Yundang Lake has become famous worldwide since then. The ambassadors and diplomats from various countries personally saw and felt the ecological construction of Xiamen city and itswell-maintained heritage and well-protected historical culture.
筼筜书院是厦门第一座现代书院，位于国家重点公园——白鹭洲公园东区。筼筜是竹之雅称，书院以竹命名。自此鹭岛筼筜湖畔于竹林环水，桃李缤纷之中，多了一处可供商量旧学，培养新知之地。
Yundang Academy is the first modern academy in Xiamen and is located in the eastern part of the national park -- Beluga Park. Yundang is the elegant name for bamboo, and the academy is named after it. Since then, there has been an additional place on the shore of Yundang Lake, surrounded by bamboo forests and water, where new knowledge can be cultivated through consultation with the ancient wisdom.
使节们在蝉声中穿过一片竹荫幽幽的小道，眼前的筼筜湖如水墨画卷般徐徐展开。书院大门正中“筼筜书院”四个大字，为国学泰斗饶宗颐先生亲笔题写，朴拙有力。书院在风格上传承了中国传统书院建筑经典格局，于中国古韵之外，融合闽南传统建筑风格及现代元素。
The ambassadors walked through a bamboo lane amidst the sound of cicadas, and the Yundang Lake unfolded in front of them like an ink painting. The four characters "Yundang Academy" in the front door of the academy are written by Mr. Rao Zongyi, a great scholar of Chinese culture, in a simple and powerful manner. The style of the academy inherits the classical pattern of traditional Chinese academy architecture, blending traditional southern Fujian architectural style with modern elements in addition to the ancient Chinese charm.
使节们漫步书院，书院由三个建筑群落组成。主体建筑位于公园中部，居中心位置，是书院的主题功能用房。主体建筑由讲堂、展廊和儿童读书区三个部分组成。
The ambassadors walked through the academy, which consists of three building complexes. The main building is centrally located in the middle of the park and is the thematic functional room of the academy. The main building consists of three parts: lecture hall, exhibition hall and children's reading area.
使节们步入主厅，2017年9月金砖国家领导人第九次会晤会场依然呈现，中俄双边活动于筼筜书院举办，筼筜书院作为这一历史时刻的见证，更以其古韵风雅的建筑与装饰，赢得了各方赞誉。
The ambassadors stepped into the main hall, where the venue of the 9th meeting of BRICS leaders in September 2017 was still presented, and the bilateral event between China and Russia was held in Yundang Academy, which, as a witness of this historical moment, has won praise from all sides for its ancient and elegant architecture and decoration.
