3月26日晚，孟加拉国驻华使馆在北京举行独立国庆日41周年招待会。中国外交部副部长傅莹女士、解放军总装备部国际合作部副部长上官辉少将、各国驻华使节及本刊记者等300嘉宾应邀出席。
On the evening of March 26th, the Bangladesh Embassy in China held the 41st Anniversary of National Day Reception in Beijing. Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Ms. Fu Ying, Vice Minister of the People's Liberation Army General Armament Division of International Cooperation Department, Major General Shang Guanhui, and more than 300 diplomatic envoys, guests and journalists were invited to attend the event.
孟加拉国驻华大使孟什•法亚兹•艾哈麦德在招待会上致辞，他说，自独立以来，孟加拉国在加强民主、摆脱贫困、发展经济、提高人民生活水平方面做出了不懈的努力。
Bangladesh Ambassador to China, Mr. Munshi Faiz Ahmad delivered a welcome speech, he said, since independence, Bangladesh has made unremitting efforts and remarkable achievements in strengthening democracy, solving poverty, improving economy and people´s living standards.
艾哈麦德大使说，在谢赫•哈西娜总理的领导下，孟加拉国在2021年将成为一个中等收入的国家以及在知识与IT业发展带动下的“数字化孟加拉”。
Ambassador Ahmad said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh will become a middle-income country with booming IT industry driven by the "Digital Bangladesh" by 2021.
大使说，中国和孟加拉已经成为友好的合作伙伴。我们感谢中国在为孟加拉的基础设施建设和国家综合能力提高所作出的贡献。
The ambassador said that China and Bangladesh has become a friendly partner. We are grateful for the contributions made by China in Bangladesh's infrastructure development and strengthening national capacity.
艾哈麦德大使说，在过去的一年，孟中两国进行了大量重要的互访活动。2011年，两国双边贸易额已超过80亿美元。
In the past year, China and Bangladesh exchanged many high level visits. In 2011, the bilateral trade amounted to over 8 billion U.S. dollars.
孟加拉国近些年中经济发展迅猛，有许多跨国公司入驻，中产阶级扩增，但其仍是一个发展中国家。
Bangladesh has experienced rapid economic growth in recent years, many multinational companies settled in the country, the middle-class expended quickly, but it is still considered as a developing country.
当晚，各界嘉宾在招待会上友好交流，祝贺孟加拉国独立国庆日、祝贺孟中两国友谊万古长青、世代相传。
All guests had friendly communications at the reception to congratulate the Bangladesh Independence National Day. We wish the friendship between the two countries will last forever, from generation to generation.
